Grizzy, a native South Floridian and experienced nurse, founded PediStat in 1990. With a deep understanding of the community's diverse culture, Grizzy established a company focused on delivering professional and compassionate care. As a result PediStat became the leading provider of pediatric home medical equipment in South Florida, earning the nationally recognized HME Excellence Award twice. In 2002, Grizzy expanded her vision by founding PediPec, a premier Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center (PPEC) serving the South Florida region.

Daniel joined PediStat as a partner and CFO in 2017 after completing his law degree at Nova Southeastern University and becoming a member of The Florida Bar. Under his direction, PediStat has enjoyed continuous growth, solidifying its reputation as the foremost provider of pediatric home medical equipment in South Florida.

Mary Velez, born in Cuba and raised in Miami, began her respiratory therapy career at PediStat in 1996. After 10 years as a staff therapist she enhanced her respiratory skills at Hialeah hospital, serving as Respiratory Therapy Supervisor in the ER and NICU. Fourteen years later she accepted the opportunity to return to PediStat as Director of Clinical Services. Mary possesses extensive knowledge of pediatric respiratory and home medical equipment and has an unusual sensitivity for families of medically fragile children.
